Swimming
Aquinas College holds two swimming championships each year during Term 1 – one for Year 7 and 8 students, the other for those in Years 9 to 13.
The Year 7 and 8 competition is held at the Greerton Aquatic Centre. All students are expected to participate. A number of events are included to accommodate students with limited swimming abilities.
The Year 9 to 13 competition is held at the Baywave Aquatic Centre in Mount Maunganui. While participation is not compulsory, students are strongly encouraged to enter to earn points for the Aquinas House contest.
Students who place first or second are selected to represent Aquinas at the Zone Championships or the Bay of Plenty Secondary School Swimming Championships.
