Netball

Aquinas College Netball has been experiencing great growth over the past few years with up to 180 girls competing each year.

Students play at Harbourside Netball Centre, Blake Park each week in Terms 2 and 3. Year 9 to 13 students play on a Friday evening and Year 7 and 8 students on Saturday mornings.

Aquinas’ Premier Netball Team aims to compete at the Upper North Island Secondary Schools Competition in Term 3. Aquinas also attends the AIMS GAMES for Year 7 and 8 players.

Information

Trainings

Training days/times will be decided by individual Team Management and could start during the last weeks of Term 1 or during the school holidays. They will generally be held at the Aquinas College courts either before or after school.

Competition

Weekly competitions are organised by Tauranga Netball Centre and run over Terms 2 and 3.

Draws and Cancellations

The draw can be accessed each week on the Tauranga Netball website by clicking on Draws and Results and then the applicable age group. Cancellations will be decided on the day and posted on its website and Facebook page.

There will be other opportunities for tournaments/sports exchanges throughout the year. Teams will be advised of this at a later date.
