Registration and Fees
Registrations for the 2026 season are now open. Please register here by Wednesday 4 March.
Fees for the season are as follows:
1st XI: $330.00 (If the teams trains once a week at Tauranga Hockey Centre then the fee will raise to $400)
2nd XI: $330.00
Super 6: $290.00
YR 7/8 $250.00
Trainings
Training days/times will be decided by individual Team Management and could start during the last weeks of Term 1 or during the school holidays. During the school term, they will generally be held on the Aquinas College Turf either before or after school.
Competition
Weekly competitions are organised by the Tauranga Hockey Association (THA) and run over Terms 2 and 3. It is important to check the draw for each week carefully as venues and times may change from week to week.
Year 7 and 8 teams play on Friday evenings.
1st XI teams play on Wednesday evenings.
2nd XI Girls team plays on Monday evening.
2nd XI Boys team plays on Tuesday evening.
Draws and Cancellations
Can be accessed each week on the THA website by clicking on the Draw and Results tab and then selecting the applicable age group.

Uniform
Players will be issued a hockey uniform for the season and will provide their own blue PE/sport shorts. The Sports Department have a small number of shorts available to borrow if players do not have their own blue PE/Sport shorts.
Equipment
Aquinas College green sports socks must be worn and can be purchased from NZ Uniforms. Students are to provide their own hockey stick, shin pads, mouth guard and turf shoes.
Registration and Fees
Registrations for the winter season will open mid Term 1. Fees are charged per player and will be set once subcriptions have been released from THA. As a guide, Hockey fees in 2024 were between $235.00 – $340.00 for the season, depending on the division the team played in.
