Welcome
As Principal it is with great pleasure that I welcome you to Aquinas College.
The facilities and environment are superb and will develop further in the years ahead. The curriculum and pastoral care offered in the school ensures each student is challenged in different ways while in a safe and caring environment.
The Special Character of the College is at the basis of all we do. It uses and builds on the teachings of Jesus and the Catholic Church over the last 2000 years, on the work of St Thomas Aquinas and on the lives and good example in each family and our contributing schools. We must work together to make a difference in our world, to strive for justice and equity, and to provide example and support to those most in need.
Every student brings great potential for growth, talents to share and develop, and above all goodwill to contribute positively to the school and wider community. Our expectations are very high - we expect all students to work consistently and hard to reach their potential, particularly in the academic area. We aim to provide an environment where our students enjoy their schooling and enjoy being part of Aquinas College. We trust our students will develop their love of God, and their love and respect for those about them and for their environment. We trust that they will be generous in sharing their talents with others. We trust that they will develop self-responsibility and effective learning habits, so that they leave school confident and capable to participate fully in an ever-changing world.
In achieving these goals we believe our students will become the leaders of, and major contributors to, our society in the future. So with this challenge in mind I invite all families to support the school fully in the faith development of the students, and in their academic, cultural and sporting goals.
