During the holidays, we honoured the spirit of the ANZACs, reflecting on the bravery and sacrifice of those who served. The ANZAC Day was especially memorable for us as our Head Girl, Kitty Finnimore, proudly represented our community as the guest speaker at the Dawn Service held at the Greerton RSA.
Her moving words paid tribute to the enduring legacy of our heroes, particularly through the personal lens of her grandfather, Colonel Tom Finnimore, whose stories and sacrifices inspired her speech.
We also commend Macy Svendsen and Jade Brown, who served in official capacities with the army and air cadets, exemplifying the courage and commitment of the younger generation.
Later, both students and staff carried our pride and respect into the Civic Service, ensuring our college’s presence was felt in commemorating this significant day.
Lest we forget.
