Winter Sports Round Up:

Football:

Congratulations on all of our teams for finishing up their seasons well, especially the 14/15 Milan who finished 1st equal in the 3rd Div and 1st XI Boys who finished 2nd in the 1st Division

Netball:

We have one more week of Netball until the scores are tallied and winners are named. Once these results are published we will update the information. Thank you to all of our student coaches and umpires for volunteering their time.

 

Rugby:

Our U14 Te Taumata team (joint venture with Te Wharekura o Mauao and Aquinas College) have beaten Katikati College by 10 points to win the Final of the Baywide Secondary School U14 competition, held at Rotorua International Stadium yesterday. The team proudly returned to Tauranga with the Chris Grinter Cup safely in their hands for another year!
Our U15 Te Taumata team are also to be congratulated going all the way to the Final and finishing second to the team from Whakatane High School.

Hockey:

After a great time at Winter Tournament Week in Napier.

The First X1 Boys Hockey Team finished on a high winning the Finals and taking home the Division Andy Hayward Trophy. Well done to the Intermediate White team for winning their game last Friday to take out Division 3.

Basketball:

Although starting later due to COVID, the Basketball season has been a ripper. Well done to everyone, and a special congratulations to the Senior Boys A and B Boys teams who both finished as runners up in their grades. Also to the Junior A Girls took out 3rd in the Prem Grade and Junior A Boys 4th Premier Grade.

Equestrian:

Aquinas College Equestrian Team were placed second overall at theBOP Secondary School Dressage Competition. Monica earned 1st Place in both her dressage tests, Hannah reached 2nd Place in both her tests and Summah  3rd and 5th in her two tests.

Upcoming events:

Good luck to Conor McCarthy, Max A Hill, Eliana Hulsebosch and Cole Hulsebosch who are competing in the NZSS Mountain Biking Champs in the school holidays.
