Winter Sport Registrations Are Now OPEN

Please see below for a list of codes offered at Aquinas College in Terms 2 and 3 this year, and all of the information you will need to know about them.

Basketball

Basketball Registrations are now open. It is important to register online so your child does not miss out on receiving important information about Trials and being placed into a team. Registrations close Monday, 7 March.

Location: Games will be played at either the Trustpower Arena, Baypark or QEYC, Memorial Park.

Days: TCBA has not yet confirmed the days of play, but it has previously been Monday afternoons for Y7/8.

Students and Wednesday afternoons for all other Y9-13 Teams.

Times: Game time may vary each week. Games can be expected to be between 4.00pm – 9.00pm.

Information about trials will be sent out once it has been set by the Basketball Committee.

Football

Football is available to all students during winter. All students who would like to play need to fill in the Online Registration here.

Information about trials and team selections will be communicated when they are confirmed.

Location: Game will be played as Home and Away, at AC and assorted venues around the BOP.

Days: Games are played on Saturday mornings for all grades.

Times: Game time may vary each week.

Games can be expected to be between 8.00am – 12.00pm.

Hockey

Students who wish to play Hockey this winter are required to complete the Online Registration. Hockey Registrations will close on Monday, 7 March.

Location: Games will be played at Tauranga Hockey Centre, Blake Park, Tauranga Boys College or Bethlehem College.

  • Monday nights – Aquinas College Girls 2nd XI
  • Tuesday nights – Aquinas College Boys 2nd XI
  • Wednesday nights – Aquinas College 1st XI Boys & Girls

Friday nights – Intermediate teams – 6-a-side

Times: Game time may vary each week. Games can be expected to be between 4.30pm – 8.00pm.

Trials dates will be announced in the coming weeks.

Netball

All those who would like to play this year Netball this year (competitively and socially) must complete the online Netball Registration. Please note that registrations will close on Wednesday, 2 March.

Trials will be held as follows:

Saturday 12th March:

  • 1.00pm – 3.00pm Y7/8 students
  • 3.00pm – 5.00pm Y9/10 students

Tuesday 15th March:

  • 3.30pm – 4.45pm Y7/8 students
  • 5.00pm – 6.45pm Y9/10 students
  • 7.00pm – 8.45pm Y11-13 students

Final Trials

Saturday 19th March:

  • 1.00pm – 3.00pm Y11-13 students

Rugby

Rugby Registrations are now open. Girls and Boys from Year 7 through to Year 13 are encouraged to register their interest in Rugby.

Pre-Season Trainings and Musters will be communicated to students through the daily notices and to those who sign up online.
