Technology Faculty update – highlight on DVC subject
Design and Visual Communication (DVC) is where students learn about designing and ideation. Design thinking is explored and expressed through visual communication and is informed by design heritage.
Some innovative projects students enjoy working on through the year are rocket design, treehouse/tiny homes, shoe design and car design – following the streamline design era.
Congratulations go out to the 2018 DVC students in Level 1 that were all endorsed in the subject – with most obtaining Excellence grades. Wow! Great results!
If students are interested in any of these future pathways then choosing a design course like DVC is a must: Architecture, Landscape design, Interior design, Town planning, Industrial design, Automotive design, Fashion design, Graphic design.
Mr Sean Blades is the Teacher in Charge of DVC and as well as passion for design he is obsessed with VW Kombi restoration and surfing! Contact him if you want to know more about the subject.
IMPORTANT NOTE from Technology Faculty: Please bring your required covered shoes for practical classes.
