A round of applause for all who ran in Friday’s 2024 AC Cross Country – you did your House proud. Everyone who took part was a champion, whether they ran, walked or, like one Year 13, ambled with a walking stick.
From the first race to the last our students gave it their all. For some that lasted only a few metres, others a kilometre or two, but the majority of our akōnga soldiered home still running.
Mr Watson’s weather radar was right on the money – switching to Friday delivered sunny skies and a relatively solid gully track for competitors. Kudos to our student leaders and staff runners, especially Mr Kevin Elder, who ran the course numerous times to jolly students onwards.
