Summer Tournament Surfing Success

Epic results on the waves from Aquinas siblings Solomon and Sieni Ryan (Yr 10 & 7) at the Duke Festival of Surfing in Christchurch last weekend. Ranked in the top 10 U14 surfers in NZ, these two delivered outstanding results.

  • Solomon – 1st U14 boys and 2nd U20 boys longboard

  • Sieni – 3rd U12 girls & 5th U14 girls

Ka rawe! Fantastic to see their talent shining on the national stage.

Equestrian: Pegasus Cup – Takapoto Estate

Macy and Stella Brick (Yr 12 & 11), alongside Lexi Cardey (Yr 10), took on a strong field of 49 school teams and 50+ riders per class at this premier showjumping event last week.

Highlight: Macy placing 5th in the 80cm Equitation class against 48 riders! Solid rounds from Lexi and Stella too, with the odd rail not going their way.

Fantastic commitment to their sport and their horses.

Volleyball Update: Our lads beat hometown heroes, Palmerston North Boys, in an outstanding five-set match yesterday. Top seeds TBC proved too consistent and scored the win. This morning they triumphed 3-0 in a must-win match over Papatoetoe High, putting our leads second in their pool!

AC girls went down to Aotea College and Wakatipu High in closely contested games yesterday. The team has Year 10, 11, 12 and 13 players – so the growth is exponential! Awesome AC ‘team spirit’ brightly, with the entire touring group courtside every game to support our Aquinians.
