Summer Sports Registrations – Term 1 2021

Please see below for a list of codes offered at Aquinas College in Term 1 and all of the information you will need to know about them.

Information about how to register for specific sports is also stated. Please carefully read all information, if you can not find the answer you are after, please contact the Teacher in Charge. This information can be found on the code webpages (links below). Please be aware that your email may not be responded to until the start of Term 1. Unless otherwise stated, all Summer Sports Registrations close on Monday 1 February.

Please note also that whether students wish to play socially or competitively, they must register online or risk missing out.

Cricket:
Cricket Registrations are now open for all students wishing to play in Term 1. All information regarding subscription fees, uniform details and contact details can be found on the AC Cricket Club Website. Registrations need to be received by Friday 5 February.

Equestrian:
Several equestrian events are offered to students throughout the year. All students are required to have their own horse and equipment for events. If you would like to be informed of upcoming competitions, please fill in this form.

Futsal:
Futsal is offered socially as a summer alternative to Football at AC. Students are to create their own teams with friends and submit the form to the Sports Office by Monday 8 February. Get some friends together and register your team on the below form. If you are an individual keen to play, please email your Name and age group to the Sports Office and we will see if we can find a team for you.

MultiSport:
MultiSport at Aquinas covers Triathlon, Duathlon, MultiSport and Road Racing and Mountain Bike events. If you are interested in finding out details of these events throughout the year, please complete the registration link here. Further details about what events are offered at Aquinas College can be found on the MultiSport webpage. If there are any other events that students are keen to enter throughout the year, they are encouraged to come and speak with the Sports Coordinator.

Rowing:
Rowing is available for Year 8 – 13 students who are beginners and those who have experience in rowing. For the more experienced students, regattas will be occurring through February and March.

Sailing:
The families who are interested in continuing with sailing, or those who wish to join the sport, should make contact with Teacher in Charge, Mr Leon Roberson, via email lroberson@aquinas.school.nz. More information can be found on the AC Sailing Webpage.
The team will be practicing at the Tauranga Yacht club. If you are interested in joining please contact Mr Roberson. We are constantly looking for new members.

Rip Rugby:
For the first time, Rip Rugby is being offered to all students in Term 1. You can select to play at either Gordon Spratt Reserve or Greerton Park. Students are to create their own teams with friends and submit the form to the Sports Office by Monday 8 February. Teams must have a mix of girls and boys, with 7 on the field there must be at least one girl at all times.
Get some friends together and register your team on the below form. If you are an individual keen to play, please email your Name and preferred location to the Sports Office and we will see if we can find a team for you.

Volleyball:
All those who are interested in playing Volleyball please fill in the registration form below.
For further information regarding Volleyball at Aquinas College you can also head to the AC Volleyball Website. Please note that Y7/8 Volleyball will be operating slightly differently in Term 1. Please read the details on the form below or on the AC Volleyball Page on the website.

Water Polo:
If you would like to play Water Polo in Term 1, please take the time to fill in the Water Polo Registration Form.
This will provide the AC Water Polo Club with information to determine the amount of teams and if trials will be necessary. This information will be communicated to you via email.

BOP Secondary School Athletics Champs: Tuesday 9 March, Tauranga Domain
Swimming Sports Y7/8: Wednesday 10 March, Greerton Aquatic Centre
Swimming Sports Y9-13: Friday 19 March, Baywave Aquatic Centre
Summer Tournament Week (Y11-13): Monday 22 – Friday 26 March, assorted venues.
BOP Secondary School Swimming Champs (Y9-13): Tuesday 30 March, Baywave Aquatic Centre
Zone Swimming Champs (Y7/8): Tuesday 13 April, Greerton Aquatic Centre
