About the Sport:

Aquinas College have a number of students who are actively involved in squash and are affiliated with local clubs. We have the opportunity to enter these students into school competitions both at Yr 7 & 8 level and also in Secondary Schools Competitions.

Selections:

Students will be entered in competitions provided they meet the entry criteria set by each event.

Practices:

Students are encouraged to join up to a local squash club to ensure they have coaching and experience prior to school competitions.

Uniform:

* Aquinas College Polo Shirt (supplied)

* Aquinas College PE Shorts

* Aquinas College Tracksuit (optional)

* Appropriate footwear

Equipment:

Students are required to have their own squash racquet and safety glasses

Competitions:

* BOPSS Individual Championships (Girls and Boys, Div 1 and 2), Susan Devoy Fitness Club – 13 May 2020

* BOPSS Individual Championships (Div 3 and ungraded),  TBC – 27 May 2020

* BOPSS Team Championships (Div 1 and 2), Susan Devoy Fitness Club – 9 June 2020

* BOP Inter-School Squash Champs (Year 7/8), Rotorua – 28 July 2020

* AIMS GAMES (Year 7/8), Mount Maunganui – September 2020

Cost:

Students are required to pay an entry fee into any of the above competitions. Entry fees can be expected to be between $25 – $35 per event. The AIMS GAMES fee will be significantly higher as it is a full week event.
