Term 3 is a very busy term with regards to school sport.
Winter Codes will be building towards championship finals towards the end of term as well as preparing for end of season prizegiving. We are looking forward to some good results in those competitions.
We are also preparing for annual sports exchanges with John Paul College (Year 7 & 8) and Campion College (Year 9 & 10). These traditional fixtures are important for us in maintaining our links with neighbouring Catholic Colleges.
Winter Tournament Week will see our Premier Netball, Football, Hockey and Basketball teams competing in various locations around the North Island. These are opportunities for our students to compete against schools outside of local competitions and also an excellent opportunity to farewell the Year 13 students who have represented the college in sport over the time that they have spent at Aquinas College.
A large number of our Year 7 & 8 students will compete for the college at the AIMS Games being held later in the term. This tournament has developed into a major sporting event in Tauranga and we wish our students well in the various competitions that they are involved in.
Organisation and planning for the annual sport prizegiving awards in Term 4 will also begin during the term.
We wish all of our teams and students success during the course of the term.
