As part of our commitment to foster closer relationships with other Catholic secondary schools and to broaden our own appreciation of different cultural aspects, we have the following annual sports exchanges with John Paul College, Rotorua and Campion College, Gisborne.
The purpose of the exchanges is to participate in sport in what we know will be friendly, yet competitive matches.
John Paul College, Rotorua- Year 7/8
In the lead up to the AIMS GAMES, Aquinas College has a day exchange with John Paul College. Sports are confirmed closer to the time and are based on what codes both schools are able to form teams for.
In 2021, Aquinas College will be hosted by John Paul College for the day. The event will likely be scheduled for late August.
Campion College, Gisborne- Year 9/10
In early August we have an exchange for our Year 9/10 students. This exchange is an overnight exchange with Campion College in Gisborne. The exchange starts on Sunday and finishes on Monday. Students are billeted for one night with a host family and compete in various sporting codes over the two days. Sports are confirmed closer to the time and are based on what codes both schools are able to form teams for.
In 2021, Aquinas College will be hosting and billeting students from Campion College. The exchange will likely occur early August.
