Huge congratulations to former Aquinas Head Girl Sophie Rogers and the Tauranga Whai on becoming back-to-back Tauihi Women’s NBL champions.
The Whai secured a convincing 93–66 win over the Mainland Pouāka in Sunday’s grand final, which featured Sophie’s sister and Aquinas Sports Captain, Emma Rogers. The sisters lining up on opposite sides of the court in the national decider was a special moment and a wonderful showcase of their basketball talent.
