We’re so proud of our student leaders for coordinating last week’s Shave for a Cure campaign, which raised an amazing $6,216 for Kiwis affected by blood cancer.
Led by Felix Carter and the Wellbeing Committee, the AC campaign raised $5,446 through sponsorships, smashing its original $3,000 goal. Mufti Day added another $770, taking the total past $6,200 and making Aquinas the top fundraiser among NZ co-ed schools with fewer than 1,000 students. An outstanding achievement! 🎉
More than a dozen students and several staff members bravely stepped up for a full buzz cut or a dramatic chop in front of a packed Gym, all in support of the worthy cause.
A huge thank you to the team from The BarberShop Co. for generously donating their time and expertise. It was fantastic to see some of our talented student barbers showcasing their skills too. ✂️
And a special shout-out to our top individual fundraisers, Year 13 students Maggie Glubb ($1,341) and Rui De Freitas ($1,032). Outstanding effort! 👏
