Rarotonga Mission and Ministry Trip 2026

We are thrilled to announce our upcoming Mission and Ministry Trip to Rarotonga, scheduled to take place during the July school holidays in 2026.

From July 5-12 next year, students in the Year 13 Intentional Discipleship Pathway and staff members will embark on a journey of faith, service, and cultural exchange in the heart of the Cook Islands.

Purpose and Vision

This mission is a unique opportunity for our students to live out their faith through Catholic outreach in a different cultural context. It aligns with our college’s commitment to forming Servant Leaders who are equipped for mission.

Students will develop greater cultural understanding, engage with their faith in action, and grow as disciples of Christ through service, resilience, and shared ministry.

To prepare for the mission, Intentional Discipleship Pathway students have been participating in activities to build their retreat skills. For example, students recently choreographed fun dance moves to upbeat faith songs.

Catholic Mission and Ministry Opportunities

While in Rarotonga, students will be welcomed by the Parish of St Joseph’s Cathedral in Avarua and have the privilege of working alongside the Cluny Sisters and local Catholic communities. Key activities include:

  • Participation in liturgies and supporting parish life.

  • Forming connections in Catholic schools such as Nukutere College and St Joseph Primary School.

  • Youth ministry activities include shared prayer, games, and faith-based peer-to-peer ministry.

  • Kaitiakitanga and involvement in aspects of service

We are excited about this opportunity to strengthen ties with our Pacific neighbours, deepen our Catholic identity, and form young people in the Church’s mission. This experience promises to be both transformative and empowering for all involved.

Stay tuned for updates and ways you can support this journey of mission, ministry, and connection.
