Three-way Conversations
Thank you to all whānau that attended our interviews last week. It was a long but very worthwhile day. Thanks also to those who completed the survey sent out after the discussions. Some things you told us:
- Of those that didn’t attend, the main reason (66%) was that they were happy with the reporting process of the College or had already had contact from teachers if there were issues.
- The vast majority of you (88%) preferred the 10-minute interview format and found value in the conversations you could have with teachers.
- Spreading it through the day with 10-minute interviews reduced queues, and the extra time meant discussions were more likely to run to time.
The positive comments around this format were very appreciative, and we will take this feedback on board. Please be aware that if you have concerns or questions or are unable to make bookings, contact staff and arrange to catch up at another time via email, in person, or via an online meeting. It is good to bring students along to the meetings to hear and be part of the discussion, although we do acknowledge that some prefer to meet with just the teacher. If you want to meet with a Dean or staff member that your student doesn’t have as a teacher, you are welcome to email the request to that staff member.
