Student Absences

A reminder of the process for taking a child off the school grounds.

If a student is going to be away from school, or needs to leave the school grounds, a message can be left on the Absence Line 24 hours a day (07 543 2400 Extension 1). This is cleared each morning by the Attendance Officer. Please leave your child’s name, year level and a brief reason for the absence.

If your child is going to be away for 3 days or more please email or write to the Principal, Mr. Matt Dalton. This is a Ministry of Education requirement.

If a student is leaving the school during the day please provide a note which can be shown to the teacher and given to the office when the child signs out.

If the student is to leave with another parent please provide written or verbal consent.
