Personal Relationships with Jesus

On Thursday, June 18 we had the joy of hosting the diocesan NET team in our RE classes for the day. The team of young people lead the RE lessons with games, teamwork activities, small groups and personal sharings. All of these were ways to share their personal relationships with Jesus and to remind students that God is a real and present part of our lives. The Year 11 Discipleship class have met up with the NET Team a number of times this year. This visit they team lead the class in an experience of Lectio Divina (scripture reflection) as a way of hearing God speak to us through his Word.

This was a great link with our current unit studying the Gospel of Mark. The team of 5 from Brisbane, Australia are working in the Catholic colleges across the Hamilton Diocese for the year. We are looking forward to their RE visits next Term as well as having them lead our year level retreats.
