Last week, we welcomed students visiting from Konko High School in Osaka, Japan, to experience one of the best things about Aquinas — our wonderful student connections.
Following a mihi whakatau led by our Year 9 Tikanga students, the group enjoyed a school tour, activities with our IDP classes and lunch with Year 10 — including an impromptu Konko vs AC volleyball match!
The day finished in Te Taumata, where our visitors learnt a waiata and actions in te reo Māori to take home and share with their school.
We loved having the Konko students with us and hope they enjoyed their day at Aquinas as much as we did! 🇯🇵🤝🇳🇿💚💛
