After nine months of construction, we’re thrilled to announce the completion of the Aquinas Joy Block—our brand-new, purpose-built facility for visual arts, music, and drama.
The Joy Block will be officially opened and blessed on the first day of Term 2 (Tuesday, April 29), and we warmly invite students, whānau, and community members to take part in the celebrations.
The day will begin with an 8.00 am blessing and official opening, led by our Parish Priests and Kaumātua. This will be followed by a guided tour of the state-of-the-art creative space.
Students who are unable to attend the morning blessing will have the chance to explore the building during First Break or Lunchtime. Whānau and members of the wider community are also welcome to tour the facility between 3.30 pm to 4.30 pm.
We look forward to sharing this exciting new chapter in Aquinas College’s journey.
