Student Experiences

Ziplining over waterfalls at Ōkere Falls

Our International Students recently travelled to Rotorua where they ziplined through stunning native forests and learnt about the rich Maori history of the area. Some were even brave enough to hang off the swing bridge and zip upside down! Along the way, we stopped in the whare to sip on Kawakawa tea and strolled along the Kaituna River trail.

Aquinas College Ball

For our senior students, the Aquinas Ball is a much anticipated social occasion and a highlight of the school year. Our students looked dazzling! What a night for socialising and creating memories to cherish forever.

Fieldays at Mystery Creek

Our Year 11 students attended the iconic Kiwi event, the Southern Hemisphere’s largest agricultural exhibition. Hana shared her impression:

“This was the first time ever to go to Fieldays. There was a lot of farming stuff like chickens, cows and tractors and free samples and activities to play. Some students swirled soft serve ice cream by themselves. We also ate kiwifruit, including the red kiwifruit! We played games and managed to win some prizes, yay. I live in a place where there are a lot of buildings, so I have never ever seen huge farming stuff before I went on this trip. It was an interesting and memorable experience for me.”
