Twenty of our international students stepped into the magical world of Hobbiton, exploring the iconic movie set from The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit trilogies.
We were lucky to have Design & Visual Communications Teacher Mr Warren Mahy join us, sharing fascinating behind-the-scenes stories from his work at Wētā Workshop creating set pieces for the films. His expert knowledge brought Middle-earth to life and made the experience even more memorable.
From hobbit holes to movie magic, the students had an amazing day discovering the wonders of JRR Tolkien’s world and learning what makes this special Aotearoa New Zealand location famous around the globe.
