Last week, our Year 10 students and their whānau shared some whanaungatanga or kinship via the annual Humanities Hangi.
The hangi offered an opportunity for parents, students and staff to connect and celebrate the end of our Year 10 cohort’s journey through junior college.
Students prepared the hangi the day before and provided ingredients to supplement that provided by the Aquinas College garden. The mahi continued on Friday, with students taking part in flax weaving, Ki o Rahi sports games, and hangi pit korero before enjoying delicious kai. Thankfully, the weather was perfect and a great day was had by all.
