Senior History students have touched down in Hanoi, beginning an unforgettable two-week journey through Vietnam.
As a school community, we keep them in our prayers as they travel, learn and experience this remarkable country together.
The group of 16 Year 11–13 students, alongside Social Sciences’ Assistant Leader of Learning Mrs Andrea Thwaites, will journey from the bustling streets of Ho Chi Minh City to the ancient architecture of Hội An (a UNESCO World Heritage site). They’ll explore the Viet Cong’s Cu Chi Tunnels and visit the village of Mỹ Lai, deepening their understanding of the Vietnam War and its lasting impact.
Along the way, they’ll also experience Vietnam’s rich culture — from traditional industries like fishing, art and pearl farming, to venturing into a tropical jungle, encountering freshwater Siamese crocodiles, and sampling local cuisine (while taking on the heat!)
The trip will bring history to life, giving students personal insight into Vietnam’s past and its present. They return home on April 12.
🙏 We pray for safe travels, meaningful learning, and memories that will last a lifetime.
