2014 graduate Angus Raiman is heading to Montreal this month to pursue his dream of becoming a Diplomat. The former Aquinas College student has wanted to represent his country overseas ever since his early teens, acknowledging the positive influence the college has played in helping him achieve his goals.

“The way Aquinas supports students to be all-rounders has prepared me well for this career choice. I played 1st 15 rugby, took part in the school production and represented the school in a leadership programme with Priority One, the Bay’s Economic Development Agency. I learnt to be comfortable in different situations and talking to all sorts of people, especially those senior to me.”

angusAngus will complete a semester at Montreal’ s Ecole des Hautes Edutes Commerciales as part of his Bachelor of Commerce degree. He is majoring in International Business and International Relations through Victoria University. In 2018 he plans to complete an honours year before pursuing a career with either The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Treasury, New Zealand Trade and Enterprise or The Ministry of Business, Employment and Innovation.
