The Cross Country event looked a little different this year as we came out of Lockdown and had restrictions on gathering numbers. However, the shortage of spectators did not equal a shortage of enthusiasm from students and staff alike. The Year 7 and 8’s are to be commended on their gusto as they ripped through the course this year.
Due to the interruption that COVID-19 already had on our schooling this year, it was decided that it was optional to our older students to compete. We were thrilled to see a huge amount of seniors take on the challenge of Cross Country on their own accord, the eagerness and passion displayed during the day were catchy and a great example to the younger students in the school.
Once again, the Principal’s Challenge was on. Mr Dalton was a little nervous about the shortened course, declaring that he would only have just warmed up when he got to the end.. however with his pride on the line, he managed to finish behind just three of our Senior Boys – Connor Farrell, Reece McCarthy and Tom McCarroll.
Thank you to everyone for their participation and showing school pride on this great day. We are disappointed to state that due to event cancellations, there are no further events to proceed to this year, but please see our winners below:
