The EPro8 Challenge is an engineering and problem-solving competition. Every year over 10,000 students from 800 schools throughout New Zealand take part.
Two teams of Aquinas Year 7 & 8 students competed in building large-sized structures, solving practical problems and engineering using pulleys, motors, gears, wheels and axles. To create their projects, students were able to construct simple machines, experiment, put together electronic circuits and solve practical maths problems while learning and having a lot of fun!
