This term, Aquinas College has twice come together in faith to celebrate the Special Character that defines our school. These moments of worship and reflection strengthen our bond as a community and remind us of our shared values.
✝️ Ash Wednesday Celebration
Students began the Season of Lent with a whole-school Ash Wednesday Mass, receiving ashes as a symbol of penance. During Mass, ten of our Year 13 Intentional Discipleship students were commissioned as Extraordinary Ministers of Communion. The six-week Lenten period is a time for reflection, prayer, and giving to others. 🙏💜 Each school day at noon, students and staff pause to pray the Angelus together.
✝️ Aquinas College/St Thomas Aquinas Parish Mass
On March 9, our Aquinas College whānau and parishioners gathered at St Mary’s Immaculate Church for our first College/Parish Mass of 2025. Aquinas students led the ministries, and our 2025 Student Executive was officially commissioned for the year ahead. We were privileged to have Fr. Arnold celebrate the Mass upon his return from the Philippines.
🙏 A Community of Faith
We are truly blessed to share these moments of faith, reflection, and togetherness. As we continue through Lent and the school year, may we support one another in prayer and service. Thank you to all who joined us—your presence strengthens our community.
