✨ Serena Heijkoop | National Junior NZ Top Dancer 2026
During the school holidays, the talented Year 8 student was crowned National Junior NZ Top Dancer 2026 at the New Zealand Dance Awards Finals in Christchurch.
In total, Serena won seven gold medals across multiple disciplines, was named Junior Musical Theatre Future Star, and earned a scholarship to attend Dynamite Summer in Australia next January—one of the country’s premier dance training events featuring leading choreographers and international guest artists.
💦 Addison Sands | National Water Polo Silver
Join us in celebrating Addison (Yr 11), who helped her North Harbour Tridents team win silver at the NZ U18 Division 1 National Water Polo Championships last weekend.
It’s been a standout season for Addison, who was also named a non-travelling reserve for the New Zealand Women’s U16 team competing at the World Champs later this month.
💦 Cleo Sands | National Water Polo Bronze
Addison’s older sister, Cleo, receives Aquinas High Honours after helping Auckland’s Marist Magic Women secure bronze in the National Water Polo Senior Club League (Division 1).
The team claimed third place during the finals weekend in Tauranga earlier this month. Cleo (Yr 12) also represented Marist at the U18 National Champs last weekend, finishing fourth overall.
