Some fantastic results from our basketballers lately… here’s the skinny!
🏀 BOP Secondary School Junior Champs
Congratulations to our Junior Girls, who finished 2nd overall in the Year 9 and 10 regional tournament! The girls put up an epic fight against Rotorua Girls’ High in the final, showing the strong form they’ve displayed throughout the regular season.
In fact, just last night, the team secured its place in next Wednesday’s junior girls secondary school competition final with a 45-41 win over TGC Junior A.
🏀 Tauranga City Basketball Intermediate World Cup
Our Year 7 & 8 basketballers were fantastic Aquinas ambassadors at the Tauranga-area tournament. Playing as Samoa, our Junior Boys finished 3rd overall after a great day of on-court action.
For the girls, Year 8 student Sayla Lautua was recognised for her sportsmanship and received a Best & Fairest award. 👏
Awesome work, basketballers! Go Aquinas!
