Aquinas Supports Kiribati School

On the final day of term, AC students wore what they wanted to support Your Choice of Clothing Day (YCC), a national fundraiser making a difference for students in the Pacific.

This year’s appeal, led by Caritas Aotearoa and supported by Catholic schools across New Zealand, is raising funds to help St. Leo’s Secondary School in Kiribati build permanent classrooms.

Aquinas College students rose to the occasion, raising $947.90 to support our Pacific neighbours — an incredible effort that shows how small actions can have a big impact.

As a fun extra, students were also treated to a visit from Luce and Fe, two of the official mascots for the Vatican’s 2025 Jubilee – Pilgrims of Hope. They made popular photo-op guests, thanks to the fantastic photo booths created by our student-led Special Character Committee, which also organised the day’s activities.
