New Zealand Scholarship results were released on 4 February. Through an examination or portfolio submission at the end of 2020, the top 3% of students in the country studying each subject at Level 3 are awarded a New Zealand Scholarship, while the top 0.3% are awarded an Outstanding Scholarship. We are proud to announce that Aquinas College students achieved 10 Scholarship awards and one Outstanding Scholarship award. This is an outstanding achievement by our students and an incredible result once again for a school of our size.

Congratulations to the following students:

Janelle Dawber-Mair – Outstanding Scholarship in Biology

Isaac Jarden – Scholarships in Religious Education and Mathematics with Statistics

Elise Oxenham – Scholarships in Physics and Mathematics with Statistics

Lucy Dekker – Scholarship in Physical Education

Sinead Manning – Scholarship in Accounting

Anna Miekle – Scholarship in Biology

Kayla Prendergast – Scholarship in English

Jonathan Sheridan – Scholarship in History

Thomas Wilkinson – Scholarship in Mathematics with Calculus

In acknowledging these students, we also thank and pay tribute to their teachers, who supported them through many hours of tutorials. Results like these which we are celebrating today are not possible without a rich learning partnership.
