Football is a strong and popular sport at Aquinas College.  Our Football Club (ACFC) is well established and made up of an enthusiastic and passionate group of parents, staff and players.  We have multiple teams representing Aquinas College each year in the Western BOP Junior Football Competition and the Baywide Youth Leagues.

Futsal (5 A-side Indoor) is a growing sport also supported by Aquinas College Football Club.

If your child would like to play Football for AC for 2022, please complete this form. Registrations need to be received by Monday 7 March.

Football Registrations 2022

Location: Game will be played as Home and Away, at AC and assorted venues around the BOP.
Days: Games are played on Saturday mornings for all grades.
Times: Game time may vary each week.
Games can be expected to be between 8.00am – 12.00pm.

Information about trials and team selections will be communicated when they are confirmed.

We are very pleased to provide you with information for the Football season. The details for the season are:

Playing Venues

Games will be held at Aquinas College and assorted venues around the BOP.

Trainings

Training days/times will be decided by individual Team Management and could commence during the last few weeks of Term 1 or during the school holidays. Generally, training will occur on Tuesday and Thursday afternoon/evenings. Cancellations need to be phoned in to the school office before 12.30pm and will be displayed in the office area and in the Gym.

Competition

Weekly competitions are organized by WaiBOP Football. Seniors play in the WaiBOP Baywide Youth Competition and Juniors will play in the WaiBOP WBOP Juniors.

Games are typically played on Saturdays, with the exception of some interschool games that are played during the week. The season starts with grading games in May.

Draw and Cancellations

You can access the draw each week on the WaiBOP Football Website by clicking on the Draws tab along the top and then selecting the applicable age group.

Tournaments

* NZSS Winter Tournament Week (Y9-13) – September
* NZ AIMS GAMES (Year 7/8) – September 

Uniform

Players will be issued with a Football uniform for the season. Students will be responsible for collecting their own playing uniform during towards the end of Term 1 from the sports office.  Dates and times will be announced via the Daily Notices so please ensure you are checking these. The same items are to be returned to the Sports Office the week following their last game.

Equipment

Students are to provide their own socks (can be purchased through NZ Uniforms), football boots and shin guards.

Cost

Fees for the 2021 season are yet to be determined but are likely to be between $120.00 – $140.00 per player.
