A reminder that all students will have two home-based learning days on Friday, 1 April and Monday, 4 April. This is in response to the omicron surge. Due to illness and isolation requirements, our daily attendance has been between 78%-83%. The constant stream of students in and out of school has been a tremendous challenge for teachers to manage throughout the term. The dual nature of teaching face-to-face while providing learning materials online, supporting students at home and on their return to school has understandably proved incredibly challenging.
During these home-based days, all students will have their online learning programme to continue with. However, teachers will be unavailable to support them online as their focus for this time is planning and preparation.
As students in Years 7-9 (under the age of 14) are not legally permitted to be left at home without reasonable provision for their care, there will be supervision available of their online learning through relief teachers and the Senior Leadership Team. If your child(ren) require supervision on one or both of these days, please complete this form by Wednesday 30 March. Buses will run as usual on these two days.
