At this stage, the Aquinas College Performing Arts night is postponed as we remain in Level 2. A new date will be rescheduled. The programme involves our Aquinas College Big Band, Orchestra, Voci Celesti, String Ensemble, Liturgy Band and drama students. Stay tuned for updates!
On another note, we are hoping our Celesti choir will attend the choral festival on Sunday 30 August in Hamilton, with the proviso our Alert Level 2 stage becomes Level 1 by Friday 28th.
Three Aquinas College Dance students competed at DANCE NZ MADE Inter school Regionals 2020 at Baycourt.
They had to self choreograph a two-minute dance of their own choice. They did this outside of class time and used the drama space at lunchtime to polish these dances. It was a fun competition and amazing to see the variety of dance styles from other schools.
All three students had success:
Year 8
BRIAR GRACE – First runner-up
GRACE GUNDRY – Second runner-up
BRIAR & GRACE – Duo first runner-up
Year 11
CHOLE GISBY– first in her year group.
Congratulations girls!
