Congratulations to former student Loui Schuler (Class of 2019), who has just represented the Australian men’s water polo team at the World Aquatics Water Polo World Cup Finals.
Loui scored in Australia’s bronze medal match against Italy as the Aussie Sharks finished fourth in the world, following a remarkable campaign that included a remarkable penalty shootout victory over reigning World Cup champions Spain.
From his junior water polo days in Tauranga to competing on the world stage, Loui’s journey is an inspiring example of where dedication, perseverance and hard work can lead.
As Loui once said:
“I’ve learnt that talent will only carry you so far. To get the rewards and success you desire, you need to be willing to work hard and persevere.”
Congratulations, Loui. We are incredibly proud to see you flying the flag on the international stage and wish you every success as you continue your journey towards the LA 2028 and Brisbane 2032 Olympic Games.
