The 2018 AIMS GAMES was a wonderful experience for Yr. 7 & 8 students at Aquinas College. We experienced winning and losing but always enjoyed spending time with students from other schools. During the week, our teams spent a lot of time together so got to know each other better. We also had the chance to make new friends from all around New Zealand. Thank you to all the parents, coaches and managers for supporting our teams during this week.
The weather was perfect all week and below is a list of our teams and their results.
Waterpolo Girls – Silver Medal
Waterpolo mixed – 20th
Hockey mixed – 41st
Table tennis – Charlie Way -Silver Medal
Futsal Boys – 17th
Futsal Girls – 17th
Football Boys – 39th
Swimming team did a great job with our top swimmer was Catlin Farrell who came 4th in three events.
Basketball Girls – 12th
Basketball Boys – 54th
Netball – 108th
Multi-sport did well with Hugo McCarroll coming 21st.
Cross country team had a great day with all our runners doing well.
Everyone enjoyed Aims week and the Year 8’s are sorry they cannot do it next year but the Year 7’s are excited. Bring on 2019!
