Aquinas is proudly cheering on Year 9’s Mackenzie Jury who won two medals at the NZ Secondary School Swimming Championships last weekend.
Mackenzie placed second in the girls’ 200m butterfly (13 years) with a time of 2:34.63. She then crushed her sixth-place ranking to finish third in the 100m butterfly. Mackenzie achieved PBs in both races, posting a 100m time of 1:08:87 – a goal she has been targeting this season. Tau Ke Mackenzie, awesome results!
Aquinas swimmers Nathan Holmberg, Hunter Sands (both Yr 12), Charlotte Devoy (Yr 10), and Cleo and Addison Sands (Yrs 10 and 9) also competed. Congratulations all! Next on the swimming agenda is the NZ Short Course Championships in Auckland later this month.
