Harper Shaw |  NZ U18 Men’s Beach Volleyball Squad

Big congratulations to Harper Shaw (Year 12), who has earned a place among some of the country’s most promising young beach volleyball talent. He’s been selected for the NZ U18 Men’s Beach Volleyball squad after a strong showing at trials. Ka mau te wehi, Harper!

Year 9-10 North Island Water Polo Cup

What a weekend for our junior mixed water polo squad! The team claimed gold in the Division 2 mixed grade at the Yr 9–10 North Island Water Polo Cup. An extra cheer for Year 10’s Addison Sands, selected as one of the grade’s top five players. Outstanding work, everyone!

BOP Senior Secondary School Beach Volleyball Champs

A superb showing from our senior beach volleyballers at the BOP Champs on Mount Maunganui beach! Congratulations to Nat Jarden & Harper Shaw (Yr 12) on winning silver, and to Aiden Couch & Luke Ryder (Yr 12) for securing bronze. Brilliant effort all round.

Indie Scholes |  NZ Water Polo 

Another incredible NZ selection for Year 11 water polo talent Indie Scholes! Indie has been named in the NZ U18 Women’s Team, who will compete in the Australia Cup and Nations Series in Canberra next month. At just 15 years old, this is a phenomenal achievement — and she’ll be facing strong international competition, including top Australian clubs and overseas teams. Amazing work, Indie!

Jayden Hyland (Yr 13) |  NZ U19 Football

Celebrating Jayden Hyland and the U19 Tauranga City FC team, winners of the 2025 National Under 19 Football Tournament! Jayden’s crucial goals in pool play and the semi-final helped guide the team to the final, where they defeated Miramar Rangers 2-0. Outstanding effort!

Maddy Thorne | Hip Hop

Catching up with some amazing news — Maddy Thorne (Yr 12) and her Space Studios team placed 5th in the world in their division at the Hip Hop International World Championships. A phenomenal global result. Congratulations, Maddy!
