Next Monday’s (Aug. 5) AC International Day promises to be a cultural bonanza! Regular classes will be replaced with cultural activities from eight countries: India, South Korea, Japan, China, South Africa, the Philippines, Tonga and Samoa.
Year 13s will lead artistic activities, sports and games. Students are to dress in cultural attire or their country’s flag colours. House points will be awarded to those who do. Gold coin donations will be collected from students in Mufti during Tutor Class.
Food Trucks from around the world will be on-site at lunchtime, serving up Korean, Nepalese, Indian and Filipino dishes, among others. Pay with cash or bank transfers.
Mufti proceeds will go toward the AC Mission & Ministry and Tikanga service trip in the Term 3 holidays. International Day is this year spearheaded by the Student Executive Cultural Committee.
