Talk about a celebration! 🎉 Aquinas College threw a fantastic evening last month to celebrate our 16 scholarship superstars, who racked up a record-breaking 22 NZQA Scholarships! 🏆✨
This special evening brought together friends, family, and staff to honor their hard work and dedication. A huge congratulations to these exceptional students and to the family and teachers who supported them. We’re incredibly proud of these ākonga and their journey.
Aquinas College NZ Scholarship Results:
NZ Scholarship recognises NZ’s top academic achievers, awarded to the top 3% of learners nationwide, with Outstanding Scholarships reserved for the elite 0.3%.
🏅 16 Aquinas students earned Scholarship accolades, with two achieving an incredible four Scholarships each.
📖 11 of our winners sat the exams as Year 12 students, and one student in Year 11— only the fourth time in Aquinas history.
🧬Eight Scholarships were awarded in Biology alone!

🥇 Head Girl Monique Faire – Named NZ’s Top Scholar in Biology, alongside Scholarships in Religious Education, Health & PE, and an Outstanding in English.
⚡Eric Shin (Year 13 in 2024 ) – Achieved four Scholarships in Chemistry, Statistics, Calculus, and an Outstanding in Physics!
