Yesterday, we had the privilege of officially welcoming 161 new students and six new staff into the Aquinas College whānau with our traditional pōwhiri. Among them, 138 fresh-faced Year 7s took their first steps on their Aquinas journey.
Thank you to the many parents and the principals of St Mary’s, St. Thomas More, and Suzanne Aubert Catholic Schools who joined us. Your presence and support made this special welcome even more meaningful.
The school then came together in the Gym for Liturgy, reflecting on this year’s Touchstone of Family. Head Boy, Luka Mahy, addressed the student body during assembly before we proudly introduced the leaders of our seven Student Executive Committees, who were presented with their committee badges.
Whakawhanaungatanga—We wrapped up the day with a BBQ, giving new students and their families a chance to connect and feel at home at Aquinas.
