Y78 Athletics Championships

The sun was shining down on us on Wednesday 20 November providing great conditions for the Y78 Athletics Championships at the Tauranga Domain. Aquinas College had 52 representatives across all of the events. One of the biggest highlights of the day was the relays. Aquinas College took out 2^nd and 3^rd in the Y7 and Y8 relays and finished 2^nd in the Championship Relay.

Congratulations to all of our students who competed to the best of their ability, but particularly to those who achieved placings in their races.

Year 7 Girls:

Reef Joseph – 800m 1st, 1500m 2nd

Oliver Grosso – Long Jump 1st

Luka Mahy – Long Jump 2nd

Eric Chea – High Jump 3rd

Luca Firioubine – Shot Put 3rd

Year 8 Girls:

Izzy Jones – 1500m 2nd

Ella Hill – Discus 2nd

Erin Moore – Shot Put 3rd

Year 8 Boys:

Ollie McFarlane – 300m 1st, 800m 1st

Josh Oficial – Long Jump 3rd
