Young Vinnies
On the first day of the holidays, 18 members of the Aquinas College Young Vinnies gave up their Saturday to put on a charitable day for those in need. The Young Vinnies at Aquinas are the youth division of the Saint Vincent de Paul society, an organization that helps those in need and assists the underprivileged in the Bay of Plenty. “An Afternoon in Wonderland” was hosted by the Aquinas Young Vinnies to thank the many volunteers who work with those in need, and to provide a fun day for some of the underprivileged families from around Tauranga. The afternoon was an amazing success that fully captured the silly, crazy world of Alice in Wonderland. An enormous thanks goes to Esther Roberts, the Young Vinnies Coordinator, and to all of the students who helped with this, not only for the success of the day, but for your continuing service to those in need.
