About the Sport:

Aquinas College Waterpolo has a strong following.  We have competitors at both Yr 7 & 8 and the secondary school level.  The teams compete in a local competition either at the Windermere Aquatic Centre, or the new Bay Wave Aquatic Centre.  We also aim to compete in the North Island competitions and the NZ Aims tournament for Year 7 and 8 students.

Trials

Trials will be held for all teams.

Practices/Trainings:

Sundays – Baywave Aquatic Centre, 5.00 – 6.30 pm, entry to Baywave is $2.30

Competition:

• Year 7 & 8 play on Tuesdays and Fridays at Windermere
• Year 9 - 13 play on Thursdays at Baywave

Uniform:    

• Own swim suit (speedos for boys and one-piece swimsuit for girls)
• Aquinas College Polo Shirt (as team shirt)
• Aquinas College PE Shorts (as team wear)
• Aquinas College Tracksuit (optional)

For attending tournaments:

• School swimsuit

Cost:       

Pre-registration fee (non-refundable)      $30.00

To be placed in a team, this fee is to be paid either by eftpos/cheque or cash prior to trials and/or the announcement of teams.  Note: This means the fee will not be charged to a student account.

In addition to the Pre-registration fee, approximate costs for the  season will be $30.00 - $40.00Teams selected for other competitions will be required to cover associated expenses
