About the Sport:

Aquinas College have competed strongly in the local touch competition which has been held at Greerton Marist Rugby grounds and at Touch Papamoa during Term 4.  The Papamoa competition goes for 10 weeks and consists of mixed teams from Under 11 to Under 17.

Selections:

Individuals have previously organised their own teams for the local competitions however trials may take place depending on numbers. Playing under an affiliated NZ Touch module, students can enter teams into the BOP Trials. These are trials to play representative touch for the BOP and are held usually in November. Trials will also be held in school to determine student to play for Aquinas College in the BOP SS Touch Champs in March

Practices/ Trainings:

Lunchtime or after school.

Competition

  • BOPSS Senior Touch Champs – Qualifying, Sunday 11th March 2012
  • BOPSS Senior Zonal Touch Championships – Final, Saturday 24th March 2012

 

Uniform:

  • Aquinas College Polo Shirt OR AC numbered Singlet
  • Aquinas College PE Shorts
  • Appropriate footwear
  • Aquinas College Tracksuit (optional)

Turf shoes

(team selected for the BOPSS Champs will be required to cover associated expenses)
