Swimming Letter Yr 9 -13

About the Sport: Swimming sports at Aquinas College is run as two separate events. While it is not compulsory for students to compete in these events, they are strongly encouraged to enter in order to earn House points for the School House competition

Year 7 and 8 Swimming Sports is held at the Greerton Aquatic Centre. All students are expected to participate, and a number of events are included in the programme to accommodate students with limited swimming abilities.

Year 9 - 13 Swimming Sports are held at the TECT Baywave Aquatic Centre. All students are encouraged to participate, but only those who compete are permitted to attend this event.

Students who place in the first 3 placings in each event are then selected to represent the College at the Zonal (Yr 7and 8) or Regional Swimming Championships.

• BOP Secondary Schools Swimming Championships, Tuesday 20^th March 2012, Whakatane Aquatic Centre
• North Island Secondary Schools Swimming Championships, Saturday 19^th May 2012, Palmerston North
