Terms: 2 and  3

About the Sport:

Aquinas Rugby is an established club and is run by a committee of parents and staff. All students aged Under 13 on 1st January, must register and play for a community rugby club. All students aged 14 years and over play for Aquinas College in the BOP Secondary Schools Rugby Competition. Year 7/8 students come together on several occasions throughout Term 2 & 3 to play matches for Aquinas.

Selections:

Trials will be held for all teams and will take place later on in Term 1.

Practices/ Trainings:

Pre season before school and during Term 1 and during season after school Term 2 and Term 3

Competition:

• Competition starts in Term 2 and finishes in Term 3
• BOP Rugby 7s Tournament (Year7/8) Tuesday 14th August
• BOP Rugby 10s Tournament  Thursday 27th September

Teams:

Under 14, Under 15, 2nd XV and 1st XV

Uniform:

1st XV

• Aquinas College Rugby Jersey
• Aquinas College Rugby Shorts
• Aquinas College Socks
• Aquinas College Tracksuit (optional)
• Aquinas College Senior School Uniform for pre/post games

Juniors

• Aquinas College Rugby Jersey (leased from College)
• Navy rugby shorts
• Aquinas College socks
• Aquinas College Polo Shirt (optional as a team shirt)
• Aquinas College Tracksuit (optional)

Equipment:  

• Own mouth guards
• Rugby boots

Approximate cost will be $80.00 - $160.00 depending on team selected in
